Sneak preview

I don't think New Man ever comes on here [if you do, look away now!]. I've been winding him up, telling him that my dress is rather unconventional - knee-length, with a red skirt 40 inches wide and a green bodice.

Actually, I'm not that unconventional... Here's a couple of quick peeks.

What, you didn't think I'd show you the whole dress before the big day, did you...?!

Only a month to go now!!!

Oh wow... and methinks you have lost a heck of a lot of weight, looking at the first photo... seriously curvy!

Indeed - over two stone!

Is the "something blue" going to be a secret?
:-D

Great job on the weight loss too.

Thank you, Beth and Esther. Karen, my bridesmaids are wearing blue, and I'll have some blue flowers in my bouquet. Also, my engagement ring is diamond and sapphire, so the sapphire can be a 'something blue'. Sorry to be boring... :¬)

Not boring. My blue thing was my garter. The best thing was my "old" thing. It is my great grandmother's engagement right. My mom got it on her wedding day, I got it on mine, and Madeleine will get it on hers.

Wow, that's great to have an heirloom like that. My 'something old' will be my grandmother's pearls, and I'm borrowing the ear-rings my sister-in-law wore at her wedding and the tiara my sister had at hers. I was going to have my mother's veil, but she can't find it - it might have been used for our First Communion veil.
