You'll think it strange, but it actually has deep religious meaning for me. Hearing it again after all these years makes me think of the prayer 'Footsteps', although I'm sure the songwriter never intended it!!

Probably not so strange, Fiona - a lot of Chris de Burgh's songs had overt Christian imagery in them - think of 'A Spaceman Came Travelling', 'Spanish Train' and 'Just Another Poor Boy', just to think of the Spanish Train album (which I played to death in the eighties and am now beginning to be able to enjoy again!).
